The news media mentioned briefly the massive crowds for both sides before the debate even began. There was about 300 people outside the studios in Greenville cheering on their respective candidates. Of course "Billy the tax bill" was there, also "Inez the one trick pony" and even some dogs wearing Tenenbaum garb.

The unreported event that happened at the rally before the debate was that one of the DeMint volunteers was whacked over the head with a sign by an Inez volunteer or staffer. (We have been unable to confirm the employment of this person). This happened in front of three witnesses and also in front of the TV camera and reporter. It is uncertain if the TV camera was rolling at that point though. We are investigating this with WYFF to see if they have the raw footage of the event.

After what has happened in Florida, West Virginia and in Washington where Democrats have vandalized or shot at Republican headquarters it should come as no surprise that local Democrats would turn to violence when they are losing in the court of public opinion.
